Springfield, IL. The Property Tax Appeals Board has announced that effective immediately, they will only consider evidence that has been offered at the Board of Review. This announcement is consistent with the ruling by the Appellate Court of Illinois in Cook County Board of Review vs. Property Tax Appeal Board, 339 Ill. App. 3d 529, 791 NE 2d 8, [August 20, 2002].

Chicago, IL. The Appellate Court of Illinois [1st. District] has ruled in the matter of Cook County Board of Review vs. Property Tax Appeal Board,
339 Ill App. 3d 529, 791 NE 2d. 8, [August 20, 2002]. In essence, the court has ruled that sales ratio studies are not to be considered as evidence by the Property Tax Appeal Board.
